Thorogood Building were appointed by Roderick James Architects to construct the initial phase of a private residential dwelling. This involved the demolition of the existing stone barn and the construction of the oak framed guest accommodation. Timing was critical, as the new building contained a bat loft, which, had to be completed on time to facilitate the transfer of the resident bats. Failure to complete this phase on time would have restricted the construction of the main house by another year.
After successful completion of the first phase Thorogood Building went on to construct:-
- The main house incorporating oak frame and glass construction.
- Geo-thermal heating system to service both buildings
- Swimming pool
- Landscape gardens
- Access road and driveway
- Pool Room
- Sunken Garden Room
